Sacred Heart offers three levels of high school Spanish for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Sacred Heart uses a TPRS curriculum for high school classes. TPRS stands for “Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling”. This method focuses on acquisition of the language through actions, verbal stories and reading. Spanish 1, 2, and 3 are using the Look I Can Talk series.
Sacred Heart offers a semester long Spanish class for students in 7th and 8th grade. Sacred Heart uses a TPRS curriculum for middle school classes. TPRS stands for “Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling”. This method focuses on acquisition of the language through actions, verbal stories and reading. Seventh and eighth grade are using the Cuéntame Más series.
Sacred Heart offers a weekly Spanish class for students from Montessori through 6th grade. Sacred Heart uses a TPRS curriculum for elementary school classes. TPRS stands for “Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling”. This method focuses on acquisition of the language through actions, verbal stories and reading. Montessori through second grade are using the Hola Niños series. Third grade through sixth grade are using the Cuéntame series.
